New pc issue

Hi All,

all my parts are connected to my new pc. When I flick the switch on back of my psu for power before I switch on the pc the motherboard flashes red then goes off. Is that normal?

No pc fans all go around and then stop for a few seconds and then repeat

Light on motherboard flashes red then goes off is FBIOS LED

System never run, built it on Friday. Using a superflower 1000kw platinum. I have a card in my current pc not sure if that will be compatible AMD Radeon 6800

8 channels on the motherboard for ram. should all 4 sticks be in one section of board? it split between the 8?
