Hi guys,
On the 9th of Feb I purchased a new PC for myself. Firstly let me start with the Spec:
500GB HDD
1GB XFX HD5850 GPU
Intel Core i5 2500K
4GB Memory
Gigabye GA-P67A-UD3P Motherboard
Corsair 500W PSU
That’s the fundamental of the PC. Now for the past week or so I’ve been have major crash issues. Two issues actually.
First one is where the monitor will turn off with no error messages and the GPU fan will spin up to 100%. I can turn the machine off fully and restart and it will drop back and start for it to let go a little time later.
The second is the PC turns itself off, tries to restart but doesn't start the CPU fan OR the GPU fan until I take the power cable out and put back in. This one less common that the above.
Now I have been in touch with XFX and done there checks and still happening.
At this point let me say that idling the heat of the GPU is 30degrees, and in game 60. It’s only crashed once on me in a game this has all been simple internet browsing when it has crashed.
I did some research and found problems with the Intel P67 Chipset but no relating to this problem…
I am scratching my head trying to work out what’s gone wrong. It keeps happening and I can’t seem to resolve it.
As you can see it’s not even that old…
Please help advise,
Kind regards,
Nick
