New PC keeps crashing :S

Hello there,

I hope you are all well, i was wondering if anyone could help me, i just got a new gaming pc and it runs like a charm except when i play games. whenever i boot up a game it either crashes and a windows error message pops up or in some cases it blue screens my pc and causes it to reboot. i have checked the nvidia drivers and their up to date, so i cant really see where the problem lies

Palit gtx670 jetstream
Asus P8Z77-v mobo
Corsair cx 750w
mushkin 8gb ram

specs please do you have it overclocked, try 1 stick of memory each do memtest try prime95 and see if it happens in there

yes its overclocked to around 4.4mhz

Indeed, go back to stock and also check your ram voltage and settings.

thanks guys for the information, i will take the overclock off tomorrow then report just out of interest how would an overclocked CPU affect games?

The CPU still does some number crunching so if unstable will course issues.

Going back to stock will / should rule out any stability issues.

brief update, i lowered the overclock to 4.2GHz and its all stable now and running well cheers for the help guys
