New PC - memory question on timings/speed?

Hi,

I'm building an X2 AM2 3800+ system that I'd like to overclock to at least 2.4Ghz (and should be able to with the components I'm using).

I'd really like to go to 2Gb, but my budget can't stretch to the DDR800 4-4-4-12 GeIL 2x1Gb sticks that I'd ideally like.

But to get my overclock, am I going to need that memory? Would I be better off getting 1Gb of fast RAM (DDR2-800, 4-4-4-12) or 2Gb of slower (DDR2-66, 4-4-4-12) memory?

My main thinking is that the system will be "quicker" with more memory anyway, so even if I can't boost the clock speed, the results of swapping less etc might negate that?

Any ideas?
