Hi guys, I have installed steam to the same location/all drives named the same and still have the old HD with all my steam games installed.

What do I move over... the whole contents of the old steam folder do I just move over certain folders?

Thanks. :)

Some people will suggest just moving the steamapps folder, but this will mean you'll still have to download it. (on my machine anyways)

If you've saves the "Steam" folder, just copy it across to Program Files on your primary drive and if asked to replace or merge the folder, just accept.

I don't even put it in the program files folder :/ I just dump the Steam folder on the base of whatever drive I want and run the steam.exe . That normally prompts me to repair the install and then it's all done.

This, just keep the entire Steam folder on a different drive, and after the Winstall, just run steam.exe. Job done :)

Thanks for your help. It took about 4.5 hours to move everything across. Im pleased to say everything is working ok. :)
