New PC - now or post-7?

I am about to begin building a new PC. There's no real rush on it as it won't be in use until September at the earliest. Now my query is what advantage I have in installing Windows 7 when it comes out as opposed to installing XP or Vista on it now and then replacing that with Windows 7?

Thoughts?

The advantage of it would be...not having to install windows and all of your programs twice. Other than that, if you've already got the XP/Vista license, then there's no reason not to..

If you already have the license as mentioned, the only advantage I can see by waiting is if the prices go down for the bits you want to buy.

I've only got the licensed Vista or an old OEM copy of XP at the moment. I haven't got Windows 7RC.

Is it still possible to get 7RC? If so, I hear there's a streamlined update which doesn't require full uninstallation?

I did think about the components getting cheaper - in two months how much difference am I likely to see?

if you are not going to use it till September then there's no point buying now.

If your going to use it now there's no point waiting.
