Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition inc. SP2 - OEM - 1Pk (N09-01528) £49.99(£58.74)

Right, thats what ive got so far. What do you guys think?

i need help with the rest tho.

Graphics

Nvidia 8800GTS but the prices vary from £287 to £352 for what, to me at least, seems like the same spec card? - So which to get?

RAM

Please Advise.... i want 2 gig, i want it fast and reliable, and i DO want to overclock, once ive learnt how to.

Power Supply

Right, i have already a Hiper Type R 480W version (not the modular one) Which has 2x 12V outputs etc. Would this be ok? or would i be better with something bigger/better?

Cooling

The CPU cooler ive chosen seems to get good reviews, and is often reccomended, is there anything else i should consider? case fans etc?

What else havn't i thought of???

Cheers Guys

personally id go with the cheapest version of the gts as yep there all the same

you cant go wrong with geil pc6400 ultra low latency mines been fine and people swear by it

id reccomend a ocz 600w psu as your gonna need 500w really and it might save you buying a new one in 6 months due to your existing not having enough juice

ACF7 pro is great for the money ;)

stinka

well i all ways get corsair ram meself 6400c4 variety does trick for me

as for psu i would recomend the corsair 620. the 480 you mention may be enough but i would say is borderline really.

the acpro 7 cooler is great :) i use itmeself it can make a bit of noise when at full speed but then i only have mine at 50% and cant hear it :)

thanks mate, i assume the 8800 GTS will fit in the case? ive heard they are quite big? or is that just the GTX?

will fit the lian li case with "2-3mm" to spare :D

thanks for the replies guys

i think i'll go for the:

BFG GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £247.99(£291.39)

since it comes with a lifetime warrenty, and its only like £3 more than the leadtek which is the cheapest one.

and for ram....

its either:

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB) £164.99(£193.86)

or

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) £147.99(£173.89)

any real difference between the two???

And for a PSU, This one maybe?

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK) £84.99(£99.86)

this is getting pricey!! hehe
