--Right heres the situation---

* I am currently going to build myself a new pc with a budget of £2200 inc monitor
* I need to build a second gaming machine with the budget of £800 for someone i know
* My current pc will be stripped and sold (2x7800gtx, 600w seasonic power supply, dell 20", antec p180, DFi LP sli mobo, 2bg geil 3200, ac 64pro cpu cooler)

I have a rough idea of what im going to buy for my pc

Im not so sure what to do for the £800 one.

I thought about selling the monitor, case, gfx cards, power supply to him for £350 which then leaves him to buy processor, mobo and ram with the remaining £450 but are 2 7800gtx good enough ?

would also like to see a few specs for both pcs if anyones got the time :)

Thanks Guys

If you want to sell your spare parts for £350 then this is how I'd spend the rest of the money. What do you mean are 2x7800GTXs good enough, good enough for what? They still combine to be a very decent pair of graphics cards. As for the high-end system I could possibly put something together but a lot of the parts are purely personal choice once you get to that sort of money. :)

sorry diddnt explain myself very well... are the 7800gtx (x2) still good for gaming on a lower spec pc?... with dx10 on the market now :)

A single 7800GTX is still a decent card for most people (it is better than what I have in my PC anyway) and a pair is still a good combination. I wouldn't worry too much about DX10 yet, I'd guess it has another year if not two before there are more than a couple of games released that required it, in the meantime there may be DX10 modes available but there will be backwards compatability. :)
