New PC Spec Advice

Hi All
Have been lurking for some time now,what a useful resource the forums are!!
I am building a new PC fairly high specced so would like your opinions please,
aready have case ,psu and sound card...the rest

Intel 8500 Core 2 Duo
GeIL 4GB PC2 8500C5 1066mHX Black Dragon
Samsung Spinpoint 750GB
Samsung SH-S203PRSMN
Thermalright Ultra-120
Dell 2007WFP
Vista Ultimate 64Bit
ATI 3870XT
Logitech G9 Mouse
Logitech G15 Keyboard

PC will be for gaming,surfing and business software

if you can spare about £20 more, maybe consider a 8800GT over the 3870, if you are going for the OCuk 3870

reason for the 3870 was to keep the crossfire option open for the future??

how far into the future are you talking about, as you should know technology can sometimes move quite quickly in the world of computer hardware.

also if you dont have a spare 120mm fan at home, you will need to add one for the thermalright cooler

Would get 8800GT and a Q6600 if it were me, you could also just get 4GIG 800MHz (2x2GB) for less and only get the G15 if you really want it.

Also a 500GB would be probably more practical + cheaper?

+ As for gaming are you sure you want vista 64bit?

I have vista 64 bit and I game very well with a 3870xt.

I wouldn't go back to xp..I love how vista is.

Minimum 8800 GT with a 1680 x 1050 display. Otherwise good.
