Very tempted to buy this at the weekend, anyone think of a reason I shouldn’t? I’m new here but bought plenty from overclockers in the past and have been browsing the forums for a couple of weeks now. I’ve got a duel screen setup (19” 4:3 and a 20.1” widescreen). I’ll be doing some gaming and a lot of video converting, the PC will be networked to 2 XBMC enabled XBOX’s.

Any comments welcome and thanks!

Looks very nice!

The only thing I'd change is the case. I bought a Gigabyte 3D Aurora and although there's nothing really wrong with it I wouldn't buy it again.

Dont know much about the case but the other parts of the system looks solid. Maybe look into the Akasa Eclipse if you can stretch your budget.

Also you might want to invest in an aftermarket cooler like the Tuniq Tower

Well you'll need to mod the tuniq tower to have it fit on this motherboard
in the correct fashion.

Thanks for the quick responses! I’ve taken the advice and changed the case.

If I wanted to make the PC as quite as possible what are my options?

Depends on what case you are getting, normally you would change the stock CPU cooler for a larger aftermarket one with a silent fan and change the case fans for silent ones also. The 8800 stock cooler and the Corsair fan is suppose to be really quiet so that shouldnt be an issue

What quiet case would you recommend? At the moment my PC is in my back bedroom but might have to be moved to the room I sleep in (hence the need for quiet)

Cheers

I would recommend the Akasa Eclipse as I said in my first post ;). Very roomy case with 120mm Fans for intake and exhaust which is very good for airflow.

The lian-li is fine if you disable the intake fan. Change the stock CPU cooler to a Scythe Ninja and run that fanless.
