Hi all, my aim was to build a new base unit for around £700, gone over my budget a little but I think it is ok. Could you let me know what you think? Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks all ok to me until I got to the Maxtor part...I'd get a Seagate/Western Digital/Samsung if I were you (in that order of preference)

I would get the E6300 instead as it can easily overclock to E6400 speeds. So there's no real point in spending extra. Change the PSU also, go with this I reckon:
