As for the XP Vs Vista debate, I personally am not going to buy Vista until around July time (but that's only because I'm in final year of uni and can't afford to have any early incompatibility issues!) A lot of people have been saying they won't be buying until they release SP1, which tbh i don't know when it will be. it's entierly up to you tbh, it is a very good operating system, from what a lot of people have been saying about the beta versions and at the end of the day its down to personal preference. Also you want to bear in mind that you are buying an 8800GTX which is DX10 and so is Vista, but I suppose until we see DX10 titles out (which is soon I imagine) we won't really know! Hope this helps, it's just an opinion but hey, it's one to get you started!
