Can anyone check this
I going to order this - (from overclockers - [There is no one else])

MOBO - XFX nForce 780i SLI
GRAPHICS - Leadtek GeForce 8800 GT ZL OC (x2 for SLI setup)
COOLER - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 - Retail
MEMORY - GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 Black Dragon
PSU - Antec Signature Premium 850W PSU
HARD DRIVES - Maxtor Diamondmax 22 500GB 32MB Cache - OEM (x2 in RAID)
OS - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (66I-01939)

I'm not going to extreem overclock maybe some
Running general home stuff + some .net developmet + games
I want the machine to last couple of years and have budgeted for £1000

Any comments - does it all hang together

All amendment suggestions will researched and are welcome.

Regards

Crossfire pretty much the same as sli, but ATI's version.

The MOBO chipsets on CF boards are better. Ati GFX cards offer better value for money. And are the way to go.

Basically a x38 or x48 mobo and 2 x 4870's or 1 x 4870x2 which leaves you room to buy a 2nd 4870x2 in the future.

In fairness there is a pretty good argument for getting one top end card over two middle end cards. If I were you I would get a 4870 rather than two 8800GTs, and make sure that I had room in the mobo in case I went crossfire later.

Something Like this

Although As said above I would rather go with one high end gfx card and when needed you can add a 2nd one for cheap once new cards have been released.

My effort; if you need to get below the £1000 mark then ditch the Blu-ray drive and get a normal DVD-RW

HOW DO YOU GET THE DOWNLOAD OF THE SCREEN SHOT INTO THE FORUM??

Reason for the single 4870 and not CF 2x4850 is that I will CF the 4870 later when it's price drops

Thanks for the input all:) (especialy Manic and Shaffaa - 3:23 in the morning jeez!!)

Looks nice, but yea-get the F1 HDDs.

Also, why are you going with that PSU? The Corsair, Enermax and PC Power and Cooling are all more reliable and quieter, and similar prices if not cheaper.

Oh, and there is no DVD drive in that spec :D
