Hi all, am looking at the following for £650ish. Could probably push to £700, would rather not though! Dont need HDD, monitor, sound, etc.

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)

Asus P5K Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Zalman ZM-F3 120mm Silent Case Fan - 3 Pin (3x)

OcUK GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Antec Sonata III Piano Black Quiet Case - EarthWatts 500W PSU

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775)

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

Total £650.

Any thoughts? Comments? Have a few questions:

- Is the asus board the best for the money? Would like to overclock if poss but don't really want to spend 130-150 on a motherboard.
- How is the case/psu combination? PSU good enough for the spec?
- Is the PC6400 ram quick enough, or should I go for PC8500? Again, want to overclock a bit... guys in the ram forums say 6400 would be ok to overclock upto 3.6ghz (as if ill hit that!) but is 8500 (would be the ocuk value stuff) worth the extra?

Finally, and probably most importantly, has anyone got experience with the board/case/heatsink combination? Bit worried it wont fit, it's a massive heatsink, and quite a small case!

Thanks if anyone can help :)

Looks like a good rig for the money.. The 6400 RAM should be fine if you are under or on the 400fsb (800Mhz effective) mark. If you intend to go higher then get some 8500. The memory timings are irrelevant.

I've read that the P35 is a great motherboard and overclocks well.

Can't comment on the case.. best head off to the case chaps and ask them.
