Hi all,

I'm wanting to build a new PC with around £500-£600 to play with. Mainly use the PC for downloading, watching movies (sometimes HD), play some games (old stuff like battlefield etc). I plan to overclock the CPU with the help of a friend too. Just wanted to post the parts I've chosen to make sure things are compatible etc.

ASUS P5K PREMIUM/WIFI-AP

OCZ Technology 700W

Intel Core Quad – Q6600

2GB kit (1GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400
BL2KIT12864AA804

Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro

Antec Nine Hundred/Ultimate Gamer Case

Here are the old parts from my old PC:
HITACHI Deskstar 7K500 500GB S300 16MB * 2
Gainward Geforce 7950GT 256MB

I plan to overclock the Q6600 to around 3.2-3.4GHZ.

Thanks!

-Pete

you will not need a 700W psu, so get the corsair 520W instead. its a better PSU anyway.
also look into geil or ocz ram as there are sometimes reports of high failure rates with the ballistix kits
