Also you can buy the Noctua NH-U12F so your roughly looking at under £1300. You could get a larger monitor if you wish

thats got a gtx 8500 ddr2 both better than the shop one.. still keeping most things the same ive also included the windows os as that was in there too

Nope. The Asus P5N-E SLi would be able to support two graphic cards.

yeah if you want a better mobo for sli x 16 u could get the asus 680i board.. but sli isnt really needed with the gtx

As long as the case is big enough for the GTX best to be sure.

Ok this is the spec i have decided on but im unsure what to do about os
either stick with xp pro or go vista . what would people recommend and would i need vista 32 or 64 ?

I'd change the hard drive to a SATA model. Other than that it looks fine, I don't know enough about the OSes to advise properly, maybe have a look in the Windows sub-forum to see what the guys in there recommend.
