I am looking at updating the majority of my rig as it is getting really old now.

I currently have an EVGA 780i FTW mobo, Q9650, 4gb DDR2 and a newly purchased HD7950 which i want to keep.

It has been ages since I was in the hardware world as I had no need to buy it so I have no idea which parts are best for me. ivy bridge, sandy bridge, AM3+ etc etc. I have no idea which is future proof, which is EOL etc.

What I want out of it is good/great overclocking and the ability to play high end games at high end settings with decent fps.

Any advice and maybe a link to a bundle on overclockers.co.uk would be great.

Thanks.

I'd wait for Haswell next week and then see what we can spec you :) your rig should be pretty good right now, that processor shouldn't be holding you back too much!
