New PC time :-)

I am looking at updating the majority of my rig as it is getting really old now.

I currently have an EVGA 780i FTW mobo, Q9650, 4gb DDR2 and a newly purchased HD7950 which i want to keep.

It has been ages since I was in the hardware world as I had no need to buy it so I have no idea which parts are best for me. ivy bridge, sandy bridge, AM3+ etc etc. I have no idea which is future proof, which is EOL etc.

What I want out of it is good/great overclocking and the ability to play high end games at high end settings with decent fps.

Any advice and maybe a link to a bundle on overclockers.co.uk would be great.

I'd wait for Haswell next week and then see what we can spec you

your rig should be pretty good right now, that processor shouldn't be holding you back too much!
