Hey all.. was looking at this:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400) 4-4-4-12
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS SuperClocked 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)

Any recomendations? That's already stretching the budget so keep that in mind please :D

Thanks!

That looks like a good rig tbh (almost identical-ish to mine) it will own, if you want to save money then perhaps get an E4300 the lower multiplier will help when clocking too

That will rock, same as mine almost, just wish I had that gfx card.

I have a 1950pro and its not struggled on anything yet.

Any particular reason for the EVGA Superclocked? You can get cheaper cards that will probably overclock the same and you can get ones with longer warranties so I was just curious in case I had missed something. :)

Oh and there is or was problems with certain GSkill Ram and the DS3, it might have been sorted but I don't know that for certain so maybe the OCZ PC2 6400 or similar would be a safer choice.

Im using the F7 bios, I was thinking about trying slacker timings and see if it will go further.

Ram already has +0.4v, although this shows as 2.1v in everest which is fine.

I don't like overclocking anymore.. I prefer just getting something fitting it and it just works.. also, I doubt I'm gonna use the card for more than 10 years :D

Hmm i'll check about the g.skill then the problem is the geil is out of stock :(
