Am I going to have problems with using USB 3.0 for the Vive?

I bought a new PC with a load of new gubbins but I've only just realised I have no USB 2 ports. On my existing PC I had lots of trouble getting things to work correctly on my USB 3.0 card.

Am I in for a world of hurt?

im using usb3.0 on vive too. no problem .

the cable look like usb2.0 but the link box itself look like usb 3.0 anyway ( in photo usb socket with blue colour )

True. The problems I had were more likely the badly installed USB card on my old one.
Just have to wait for my upgrades to prove their worth:

Old style i5 750 > i7 skylake
AMD 290 > Nvidia 1080

Fingers crossed for some supersampling loveliness

Ah ok, maybe its some sort of chip set incompatibility.
I always try and got mobo's with the most industry standard components I can get for
these reasons.

I love how Oculus went with USB 3 required, and VIVE said no its not, USB2 will do for us.

I reckon oculus are loosing a fair few sales due to this.
