Built a PC this morning and I cant for the life of me work out why it wont Post.

CPU has bee reseated, Graphics card removed, memory reseated and only one stick installed. All external wiring apart from power button removed..

I removed the motherboard power and reconnected, didnt notice it was still live and the fans and the CPU came to life for a few seconds .. so I would assume the PSU is working ok ..

Please help

ok, only thing connected is the motherboard and the keyboard lights up as does the USB mouse .. so power is going through ... but the CPU fan doesnt move...

I do that every time ;)

Pain in the back carrying my case all the way upstairs only to find it not working because of that exact reason lol.

Ok .. now it boots but nothing on screen .. just changed card out and still nothing ...

The Heat sink for the CPU is very hot but the fan is spinning ... I guess its doing its job ..

Any thoughts?

I've tried another montior now and that makes no difference ... I dont have the DVD or harddrives connected to anything .. and the board powers up as do the case fans.. all two of them ...

Anyone ??
