Hi everyone ...i'm having a reall nightmare with my new comp...i use dvd dycrypter to burn (iso...img) files but since i built this new comp it wont burn them ..i put on imgburn that wont burn them either but nero will ...any clue..John Thanks

well i cant..somrtimes it will burn a slight burn mark and most times it just wont burn at all ...i have just put an lg drive in and it now burns all ..i dont think my poineer drive is no good as it still burns thru nero

Try other SATA cables / SATA ports
Try booting a Linux Mint live session and burn something in that

this is kin stupid..i can convert an avi file thru ConvertXtoDVD and it will burn the file...i can burn music thru nero and burn an iso and img file thru nero ...but it wont burn a img or iso thru dvd decrypter or imgburn...stupid...

SOMETIMES IT STARTS TO BURN ..THERE A TINY BURN MARK ..BUT MOST OG THE TIME NOTHING HAPPENS...THEN YOU CANT GET THE DISC OUT THE TRAY ..I HAVE TO WIAT FOR PROGRAM TO FINISH BURNING NOTHIN

Maybe IMGBurn doesn't like the discs you're using if it's just an issue with that program.

Try a different brand or different disc type (test DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW)

Don't get angry at people trying to help you.. KIA is right, you've not given much info. What does the IMGBurn log tell you?

Which motherboard do you have?
Have you tried other SATA ports?
Have you tried other SATA cables?
Which DVDRW do you have?
Which firmware of DVDRW do you have?
Which Operating System?
Which version of IMGBurn?
Do you have a non-admin user account?

right i have just tried to burn another img file on my e drive..it wouldnt burn it...so i copied it to my c drive and it burnt it..my c drive is a 120 SSD and my e drive is 2 tb hd ..dont know what difference that would make...John

Is your E drive an old drive from another system?

If so, you probably need to 'take ownership' of all files and folders on it.

Google how to do this

Win7 will directly burn ISO files itself, so try this to just eliminate any issues coming from ImgBurn. Just rclick the ISO and there's a burning option in the context menu.

Disable any other software that might be interfering, as well - decryption software such as AnyDVD or equivalent.
