Hi there,

I’m quite clueless about PC’s and currently making the switch from Mac. I’ve just purchased a pre-built system from ********.

and I can’t seem to connect to my monitor which is a Samsung C24F390 Curved.

I have it connected via HDMI but nothing is appearing on screen and the corner just keeps changing between ‘hdmi’ and ‘analog’ and I don’t understand why.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Are you plugging your monitor into the GPU or the on-board graphics?

What is the machine specs? If it has a separate gfx card make sure you're plugged into that and not the mobo.

Echoing what has been mentioned.

Would help if you could list your components. CPU, Motherboard, RAM, GPU and PSU etc.

Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the GPU if you have one.

My components are:

Case: Be Quiet! Pure Base 600 Tempered Glass Edition Orange
Motherboard: Z390 Aorus Pro ATX
Processor: Intel Core i9
Memory: 32GB (2x16) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro
Graphics: GeForce RTX 2080 8gb
PSU: Be Quiet! Straight Power 11 750W

my case only has one HDMI slot at the top so I assumed it would need to be plugged into there?
