New PC won’t post (constant restarts).

Im building (or trying) a mini home server but after my initial install of the gear listed below it won’t post, instead it just powers down after about 6 seconds and reboots on a continuous loop, nothing on the display.

Any ideas? I’m thinking it could be RAM but I’ve tried all modules in both slots and no joy..

AMD Ryzen Pro 2400GE
AsRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac
2x Samsung 8GB 3200 MHz ECC DDR4
Integrated Graphics

I know that Ryzen Pro supports ECC but worried I have to do something in the bios to get it working :/

but don’t have any spare sticks of DDR4 to test it..

Have you checked the CPU is seated properly and not got any debris? I had one of my ex girlfriends hairs somehow managed to get between the CPU and motherboard when I was building it years ago and it caused similar issues.

I checked the RAM in other slots.. but ill test it again to make sure i wasnt being a n00b.. ive not reseated the CPU, or checked for debris but i can try that after.

If it helps, Crucial and Kingston sell unbuffered ECC, not just Samsung. E.g. I believe these are both unbuffered ECC: KSM32ES8/8HD or MTA9ASF2G72AZ-3G2R

Thank you, I’ll give the Kingston memory a shot.. didn’t even notice the difference between registered and non registered I just assumed all ECC was registered.
