I just put together the following components:

AMD San Diego 3700+
MSI K8N Neo4
2x Crucial 512MB pc3200
x800XT
Magna 600W PSU

The psu needed a 20pin -> 24pin adapter for the mobo, and a 2x 4pin molex -> 6pin pcie power adapter for the gfx card. It has the 4 pin plug though, and thats plugged in.

I put it all together and it wont start, when I press the power button the fan twitches but that's it.

Any ideas?

Looks like it starts with the pcie connector disconnected, but just flashes:

PCI HIGH-END GRAPHICS POWER not connected! Please refer to your video card documentation for more information.

If I unplug my HDD it seems to work. Looks like I'll be needing a new psu then...

Ok ive got a new PSU, and it now boots properly.

However! It will now randonly freeze after about 30 minutes, but this changes. This is while installing windows, or shortly after installation completes. I got as far as burning a dvd and it crashed last time.

The 12V line is a constant 12V (tested with multimeter) so I dont think the PSU is to blame. Any ideas what might be wrong? What should I try next?
