Long time no post on here, but thought I'd have an ask.

I think I'm pretty sorted on my new PC, I'm looking at getting:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
P965 with ICH8
320MB 8800GTS

The C2D is a given. I'm tempted by a 965 due to the substantial price difference and not so substantial speed difference. The GTS is cause of the amazing prices they can be got at.

Now, PSU & Memory are my next questions... any suggestions?

I have similar setup which I have recently built. I have an Antec Truepower Trio 550W and GeIL 6400 Ultra low latency DDR2 (2x1GB) 2GB kit. Runs a dream, what motherboard were you thinking of getting?

Just one word of advice cause since I have bought my AB9 Pro I have been slightly annoyed with its layout, because the cables that reach the sockets on it are stretched and one of them won't even reach the front panel. Unless you are purchasing serial ATA optical drives I'd go for something else. I would go for an AB9 Quad GT if you were going Abit - I think this is an improvement on the AB9 series. They have just released a new board - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-124-AB&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=205. It has a different chipset though. Other than that if you were looking at other brands, the DS3 is a great board all round and for overclocking! :)

Anything Antec, Enermax or Corsair. You will get loads of people posting for Corsair but I like to go for Antec PSUs as I have invested in them for over 5 years and never been disappointed, quality and solid. I would think around the 500/600W mark :)

Looked at that MSI board on google reviews, seems pretty nice. I would go for it :)
