Hi all, pcs+290 arrived today :D Got to say this is a beautiful card, Cooler looks meaty as hell. Just about fitted into my case, thank god i didn't get the vapor x as it would not have fit. Packaging was nice as well. Anyways installed and set about some benchmarks with heaven 4.0

All stock voltages
I used the settings described as described in the heaven benchmark thread.

3570k at 4.4ghz on air

fps 56.7
score 1429

3.GPU clock 1133

Has not got anything left to give on stock voltage but cant complain, great card for the money :D Really pleased, temps did not exceed 71 while benching so can complain either.

edit= Done a run with voltage +63 and got

8. gpu clock 1180

Awesome card indeed! I seen it from a friend and it does look solid.
Have you tried to play around with voltages?

That cooler looks like it can handle heavy loads :D

Thanks for taking the time to showcase your thoughts regarding this card. Without doubt the PCS is one of the best coolers going on our Hawaii range and is right up there with the Lightning.

My MSI 290X LE (Lite Edition) Blank screens when I tried your 6th Score clocks with the 50 powerlimit cranked up.

So looks like your card beats my X edition. Bravo sir :(

The only problem is the boring colours of it. The vapor x and the tri x look awesome. They could have stuck some red on this one and it would look better.

Wow surprised at that to be honest, but lets be fair yours does look one bad puppy in the looks department :D

As for the pcs+290 looks wise i do agree it looks a bit boring but then my 300 r corsair case looks boring as well, fits right in :)

If you don't mind me asking why did you choose this one over the 290x versions

Because of the clocks, its one of the more aggressive overclocks from factory especially compared to some of the 290x's (1000hz). What sealed the deal was the cooler on it its huge. On youtube a channel called tech showdown put this against the sapphire tri x 290 and the vapor as well, it trounced the tri x but lost marginally to the vapor. Throw in the price difference of 80 pound odd over the vapour, its one of the best bang for buck cards right now. By the time ive sold the 7950 and the free game its cost me 70 quid to swap.

I get almost exactly the same clocks with stock voltage as you do (also using a 290 PCS+), I managed 1140/1500, it could run unigine with 1160core but it was artifacting, and 1550mem gave worse performance compared to 1500.

I run mine stock though because for some reason when I apply an OC with MSI it stays at the 3D clocks all the time, maybe it's something to do with dual monitors...

Anyway great card, crazy value for £200.

Agreed crazy value for £200, that's great clocks there. You got a little bit more out of your gpu clock than me, if i go above 1140 ish i start to see a couple of artifacts. So i knew i was pushing the limit so settled on 1133. Memory wise anymore than 1500 it just black screens on me.
