Basic physics of signals. The cable manufacturers are trying to trick the consumer (once familiar with how analogue signalling worked and why shielding was needed to maintain a good signal) into thinking that the same rules of thumb applies when handling digital signals.

Does not read like it came from Phillips' promotional materials. Yes, it is without a doubt a premium cable (because it costs more and is made of better stuff), but it is absolutely not the case that my HDMI devices will never perform better with it.
