'gold plated connectors for the best signal reproduction.'

OcUK, you disappoint me, trying to fool customers. HDMI is a digital signal, with a 1.5m cable there's practically zero chance of any signal degradation occurring.

While it is nice to see these not being priced at £50 (ala red-coloured competitors), "perform better" is incredibly contentious (and in most real-world living rooms, not the case)

As much as the description is misleading I'm guessing they just copy and paste what they're given by the manufacturer.

Hi there

We are a business and we will advertise a product as per the manufacturer does.

If something is of poor quality we won't make a description up we just will generally not sell it at all.

The line:

"With gold-plated connectivity, your HDMI devices will never perform better"

Does not read like it came from Phillips' promotional materials. Yes, it is without a doubt a premium cable (because it costs more and is made of better stuff), but it is absolutely not the case that my HDMI devices will never perform better with it.

Gibbo, with this you were always going to get some stick from us.

Take this one on the chin.
