Phone
I've had an Honour 9 for 3 years now and the phone turns itself off at 25-30% battery but other than that it's been an great phone. I had a mind to get the same brand again since it should make it easy to clone the phone to the new handset? I got this phone before HUAWEI became a punching bag for global politics and now I am unsure if there is anything in it etc.
My only grip which is based more on not knowing than anything else, will the Play store work? I've been reading on the forum and other places it seems one of two things is now the norm. You will need to side load the Play store OR the manufacture has already done it for you when you get a global ROM ?(Ali Express, Banggood etc)
Been looking at POCO X3 NFC since there is an offer in a few days but again a bit uneasy about OS updates, play store etc?
POCO F2 Pro a big enough upgrade to justify the £? What would I be missing out on from the X3?
Any other phones worth a look at this price point(s).
Tablet
I had a HUAWEI MediaPad T5 mostly watching YouTube (used it quite a lot to watch "how to fix ..." car on drive way) and some films. The tablet felt under powered and would eat through the battery quite quickly. I was hoping someone could recommend me a tablet that is at least the next step up in power and battery life, again considering my lack of knowledge of play store working out of the box? Side load etc? Fairly flexible on budget since I paid £200 a few years ago for tablet what would be the next jump up price wise?
