Hey, not really posted in this part of the forum before.....anyway....

I cuurently have a K700i, which has been a damn good phone since I got it last January, however, the joystick has developed the usual faults and is getting extremely annoying, so I'm considering getting a new phone.

The samsung E900 has cought my eye. Now, I will be wanting to get this on contract, it will be my first contract phone. I don't use my phone that much, spening maybe just over £10 a month on pay as you go with orange. So obviously I won't need a massivly expensive contract with loads of minutes because I don't use it enough to warrent that.

This deal has cought my eye: http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/google3/offer/O2XNET497/ So what are your opinions of this? Good deal? The only thing I am am confused about is the fact that is says
"Your reduced line rental is available by redemption in 4 stages, £45 at month 3, £41 at month 6, £41 at month 9 and £41.06 at month 12."
So does that mean that I don't actually get it for £1.99, I have to pay the full amount and they give me the money back? Seems a bit strange but ok. Also is it possible for me to keep the same phone number despite the fact I would be going from Orange to 02, and payg to contract?

Any advice you can give me would be great, and if anyone knows of a better deal that would be great too. Cheers.

to answer the first questions yes, you pay the full amount and then u have to send your bills off and they give you the money back...

as for the number issue, once youve got ** contract up and running ring orange and ask for a PAC code (Port Authorisation Code) it will consist of ORG and six numbers eg. ORG123456. then call o2 and give then that code and they will start a port in process. this will take 10 days (est) once its done ** number will be changed over and it doesnt cost a thing to do.
