Hi, the mother is driving me crazy with her Doogee(?) and her Eufy doorbell not ringing in it. It's not just the doorbell but other random apps go to sleep even though they're told not to in the power options...anyway...

It's time for something newer and faster

looked at the Xiaomi a1 (I've had Xiaomi or Poco the last 4 phone personally) but am aware the market is massive...

any suggestions would be appreciated

I'm a convert to Xiaomi, but although the A1 is cheap (£59 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/si...i-sim-ps5999-free-collection-at-argos-4041787) the specs are probably a little too cut down and you may just end up with similar frustrations at some point down the line.

Probably better looking at the next step up in specs (4Gb RAM at a minimum)

There aren't any other deals on Xiaomi/Poco at the minute, but the Poco M4 Pro has been as low as £135, so might just be worth waiting for another deal.

Other than that, there are a few "deals" around £130 - all basically the same phone, so just pick your preferred brand/network:

Like the look of the oppo but it's sold by vodaphone so assume it's locked to them or is that a thing of the past now?

Many of our devices, including all phones bought from us after 1 January 2022, are already unlocked. Try using a SIM from another network in your phone before requesting a NUC code – if it works, your phone is already unlocked.
