New phone screen question (pic)

Hi all, i have recently just bought a new phone, a sony ericsson W580i

and i just wanted to ask a Q...there is a gap up the top of the screen i think it isn't fitted properly. should i try and re position the screen myself or ask the shop to do it for me? the reason i say this is because i work in a dusty environment, and i am just worried i'll get dust under my screen quite quickly.

I've had 3 SE phones and all 3 had dust problems. The K750i being the worst as dust can get under the keys and then up under into the screen. It's just a design fault, can't stop dust getting in it.

Yeah had the dust SE problem myself with my age old k700i. I use to regulary take it all apart and give it a good clean, because come a sunny day all you could actually see sometimes was just dust

damn. so it looks as though its just a case of just accept that its going to gather dust.

nevermind, im sure i'll have another new phone by the time this one gets too much dust under the screen

Best thing you can do is either keep it in some kind of lint free cover, not the crystal case, that one traps dust. I find the Silicon case works quite well. And don't BLOW dust away, rather than brush it off with something. Blowing usually result in it going into and under the screen. There is a huge speckle under my old K750i, can see it whatever the lighting condition or what is on screen. If not because it is old and I have a N95 (this seems to be dust proof !), i would be taking it apart to clean it.
