New police lights.

I actually plan to have them steady state..dont like them flashing away like that. :)

I can see the benefits of a rear flashing light but not sure why anyone would use flashing white front ones - if I come into an unexpected situation with an oncoming bike a flashing white light would delay/confuse my reaction more than anything else and they are more likely to end up road kill than a constant light.

This

And angle the front down a little. Being seen is one thing but blinding oncoming traffic is a differant matter

Just mentioned it as I've been doing early starts recently compared to my normal time and seen a few cyclists in the early hours of the morning that do have forward flashing lights.

EDIT: A bit surprised how many cyclists I do see at that time of day - though I guess its partly because the roads are quieter - regularly pass 6-8 a morning compared to normal daytime hours I probably won't see 6-8 in a week.

Watching your video with the light attached to seat post, is that masked at all ,by your legs, so should it be further back on the bike ?
- back of saddle (I have it on a commuter pannier rack)

Was contemplating this morning the tragic death of cyclist Lee Martin killed by the texting motorist and wondering what lessons, if any, could learn with respect to increasing visibility (apparently driver did not spot multiple time trialing cyclists)

Well as its colder at night now i do tend to wear my yellow high vis jacket,so i might move the rear light down more but other than that there really isn't anywhere else to put it.

I dont really want to add a pannier pack or anything like that as its all extra weight.

Sad about that cyclist though,Sadly i still see a ton of people texting whilst driving and women are the worst for it.

Absolutely nothing other than getting people to stop dicking about on their phones.

I'm much more visible than a cyclist with being on 200kg of loud motorbike with retina burning LED head lights but still plenty of people will try and roll out in front of me even after making eye contact with me 100m down the road. You can't beat stupid.
