New printer/copier/scanner needed.

As title, our conon printer has stopped responding to all commands and is making a lot of 'orrible noises, so its time for an new one. Are the "all in one" machines sold here any good, reliable, is it worth going for a laserjet jobbie, and what do ppl here recommend?

The odd photo, general stuff for the kid's school/college work, nothing too demanding, but I'm finding that since I became a civilian instructor for 342sqdn air training corps, I'm required to do more and more scanning, copying, etc although still quite lightweight stuff and certainly not everyday.

I am pleased with my Canon MP610 all in one. The current version is the MP620.

The canon 620 is superb, very happy with it, the scanner and prints are significantly better than my previous all-in-one
