I have thought about one for a while now, initially I thought about resin because I could make some miniatures but im not sure i would and I like the idea of a filament printer so I can make bigger and stronger things.

Ideally id like to know what filaments are good to use, Ideally looking for less lines but I also understand it will have some as a result of using that material.

My budgets now huge, so keep any printers under the £500 Ideally id like to look at £300-£400 but who knows my hobbies escalate

All opinions and suggestions on what to get would be helpful and greatly recieved

With that budget, you cannot go wrong with the Bambu P1S.
Up and running very quickly out of the box and a good entry point.

Do you mean this one?

Is the bundle any good? Sorry the websites confusing and not a great starting point
Yeah that's the one. Can get the standalone or the bundle with the AMS if you fancy doing any multi colour prints.

What does the bundle do the standalone doesn't? I assume they don't come with filament.
It just includes the AMS which allows you to switch colours during a print. Personally I think it's well worth it even though I don't to loads of multi colour printing. With the AMS it feeds the filament into the printer for you, Without it you need to wait for it to heat up and then feed the filament in.

They don't usually come with any filament.

If you're doing any prints which involve multiple colours, then the model either has to come as separate parts which you glue together or you would need to keep switching filament over for the correct colour which is tedious and time consuming. The AMS allows you to store 4 spools in it so you could store the colours you need in there, tell it what colour is in each slot and it'll handle the rest. You can also just put multiple spools of the same filament in the AMS and it will automatically switch over when it empties a spool.

Saying all of that, I just got the standalone P1S as I didn't want the investment at this stage of an AMS as I'm just starting out. The P1S is a great printer.

With the AMS you could also use one of the slots in it as support interface material. Easy to remove, leaves a cleaner surface on the print. Especially with printing minis with a 0.2 nozzle you will need to use supports at times and it just makes it easier.
