Well after not using my computer after 4months due to a booting problem I couldn't identify, I finially decided to take a hunch and buy a new psu and voila!
It's booted up with no problems

After many updates it's suddenly froze.
So I restarted it, again , it's froze after 20mins.

I thought it was the gpu not sitting correctly in the top slot, so I moved to the slot below and it's still doing it, even though it's all secured properly.

Until it freezes it works absolutely fine, so I'm sort of lost

I ran haven on ultra and up all the settings and was fine, I closed that down then few mins later it froze.

Any ideas ??

Do you have another PC? Or a friend with a PC?
Switch one component with the other PC and see if it makes that PC break, or your stable. If not put them back and try another component. Keep doing this till you find the one causing the problems.

sounds like a memory problem to me... boot into windows and go to start and search memory diagnostics... run that and see what it says

P.S... run this with only ONE stick installed

Well now it won't boot past the starting windows screen

I've striped it all down, made sure every cable is in correctly, unplugged all case fans, and extra hdd

It tried to fix its self and said windows couldn't startup, and it did say hardware problem.

I'm trying on stick of ram in each slot with each stick now

Just went into the bios and its detecting my 1 4gb stick of ram in the first slot (a1)

I've reset the cmos aswell,

When my old psu decided to go, cousl it of taken something down with it?

It's just weird how it was working fine the after about 20mins it crashed, but now it seems I can't get passed the 'starting windows' screen
:( :(

It's never been overclocked, but it does seem unstable.

I was going to treat my self to a new mobo and possibly new cpu. So if I can't find the problem I might just do that

System recovery options screen:-
I clicked memory diagnostics, and it came with an error 'an error is preventing windows from checking memory'

Update!!!

I swapped the ssd with a new cable and into a new slot on the mobo and it's loaded straight up

So I think il buy all new sata data cables as mine are a bit pants tbf.

Plus my ssd is almost full, so il get a new one to relief some memory from it

Well so far so good!

It's been playing a film for well over an hour and a half.
My ssd is temporally sat on top of my cd drive, and seems to fine.

New ssd and cables this week then, and try that, then more new parts :) lol

Thanks for your help
