New Processor & Motherboard

Hi All.

I've got £150 to spend this must include P&P!

I want to switch to Intel's Core 2 Duo and a new Motherboard and want the best for my money.

Any recommendations on a good combination.

Depends what you have in terms of other components.

Older tech has a huge impact on what you can buy, AGP GFX cards? IDE HDDs and Opticals?

I've got 4x1GB XMS2 DDR 800MHz, 9600GT 512MB PCI-E etc. Need a decent Processor and Motherboard.

You'll need DDR2 RAM for that motherboard.

That board might require the bios updating to take that cpu.

Xms2 is ddr2 memory, the 800mhz should have given it away.
