Stupid question i think but would my pc notice if i changed my exsisting I5 750 with a new 15 750?

just as i think i damged my old one

one of the pins on the existing i5 is bent

and i happen to have a spare one

its def the same type 750 etc just wanted to know if there are any complications doing this and if it would cause errors on the motherboard

The i5 does not have any pins, these are on the motherboard? or am I missing something :eek:

Just straten the pin back to normal then its sorted?

Even if it snapped off, as long as its a ground pin it will still work I bet you.

I had, many years ago now, a P4 2.8C with 4 missing pins and it still worked and overclocked!

Reset your bios to stock settings first as the other CPU might night a different voltage settings.

not a pin but one of the center blocks things

its definatly out of line

i will ensure the voltages are stock
