New Processor?

Okay, so getting together the parts for my PC build which I was gonna order for my birthday at the end of the money, but I'm now stuck with money as the girlfriend wants to book a holiday so need to cut down my costs.

What is the better processor (Baring in mind all I do is game):

The i7 4770k

or

AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core


Baring in mind I will overclock and I want great value for money (Don't hestiate to suggest the i7 if its gonna be worth it in the long wrong + with overclocking).

Want this to be future proof and be able to run all the games maxxed out so dont want any part of my PC holding me back

As much as I like amd I have to say I would go 4770k especially if you are going to go sli

If all you do is game then the 4670k is a good option. It just depends how much money you want to save.

Just bite the bullet and go 4770K.

No need to miss out on HT especially if bf4 is anything to go by.

Yep, usually I would recommend the 4670k to people, but it does look like Battlefiled 4 utilises 8 cores/hyper threading.

A lot of games are going to use Frostbite 3.0 so it makes sense to get the 4770k.
