New Programing Language

Hi all!

I use vb and vb.net pretty much daily at work and im getting quite good at it , im looking for something new to pick up however i would like it to be free and have a gui like vb , i would also like something where i can try make something like Snake or space invaders on my own

Gotta be the new Microsoft Visual Studio Express versions. Free and similar to what you are already used to.

C# seems like a good bet.

C#'s gonna be good for you because of the .net tie in which you'll find familiar.

the other obvious free modern language is Java, which is well worth the effort, but probably a bit more of a step for you given your experience.

i'd suggest you look into them both.
