New Project - Gazebo

So i think is called a gazebo

Ive decided i want to try and rescue this old thing. Make it look nice again so ive got somewhere to sit and take a break while im doing other stuff.

I thought the best place to start would be the roof. Getting all that old stuff off there, cleaning and replacing it. Then the rest of should have a bit of rain protection while im doing it.

Anyone got any suggestions? Or experience with these things?

and thats its tucked away in the middle of the pic. Lots of work to do in the area.

I guess you would have to replicate the clip on bamboo arrangement.
How are the canes fixed in there?

Pond looks epic, would be stunning if dug out.

The entire roof structure is actually metal and ive found out that you can buy the bamboo/thatch stuff in sheets. So im HOPING it shouldnt be too hard to get the roof sorted.

Yeah the pond is awesome, but the level is so low at the moment. gotta try and work out how to keep it more full.

Its more of an out of control natural bombsite at the moment :/

I live in a flat at the moment so its not technically my garden..but its the garden at work..or rather its the land that im trying to manage and turn into a garden.

Im using this as an excuse to buy a new sander only got a 60 grit belt on..
