Good morning all,

Im looking for some advice. After speaking with a couple of friends of my i have decided to make the jump from console to pc gaming. I want to build my own rig ( With help from friends ) I friend of mine made hers and she did it set by set when she got paid. Am i right in thinking that the first part i should bu in the case? Like i say im notting looking to buy all one one so but to do a step by step project and end up with a gaming rig at the end of it.

Why don't you want to build it all at once? Just because you want to wait until money's available? Makes sense if so.

That said, I wouldn't put the case as the first item, as it can limit items down the line. CPU cooler, GPU and motherboard are, I would say, more important to know what you want first.

That said, there will be some people that will say 'I want to build a computer in case 'x', what do I need to do so?' But these people have an idea of the specific case they want.

To be honest, I'd post in general hardware with an idea of how much you want to spend total, and then get a spec from the guys in that sub forum which you can just buy the parts from OcUK over the next few months. It works particularly well knowing all the parts you want and buying them over a few months because you tend to be able to get them in the sale. That said, the advantage of buying all your parts at once is that you won't have to spend as much long run in shipping.
