I just picked up a PS3 - primarily for use as a media streamer. I am very happy with that.
I do most of my gaming on my computermabob. I downloaded Dead Space 3 onto the PS3 as part of the Playstation Plus trial. I have this on my PC and was interested in the comparison. There was a lot to be said for playing on the sofa through my AV amp and Kef speakers. I really couldn't get past the use of the controller though. I got killed (on the easiest level) by about the third necromorph.
I am just going to avoid any first person or third person shooters I think. Keyboard and mouse is just so much better.
Are there any other games worth me checking out? Any classics from the life of the PS3 that I might enjoy? I am tempted to pick up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 and Tiger Woods 12 - both are about £1 or £2 in CEX. I think for AAA stuff I will probably stick to the PC but I am interested in stuff that might be enjoyable as a diversion in front of the TV.
Is it worth picking up a Move controller for anything? If picking one up second hand what do I need? What about mics for Singstar type stuff or the EyeToy? I'm interested in anything I might persuade my wife to play alongside me...
...also, is Playstation Plus worth having? If so, what is the cheapest way to get it?
