Okay then, so I just picked up a PS3 250 Slim. Yay. I can connect it all well and good whilst at home since we have a HDTV, however whilst I am at uni I only have a DVI PC monitor. My idea is to get a DVI switch so the PC and the PS3 can both be plugged in and I just flick a switch. I would be using a DVI to HDMI adapter for that to work.
This leaves me with the issue of sound since my Monitor does not have speakers. I had a quick google and perusal of another forum and they were talking about using the RCA cable for this in combination with a female to female 3.5mm adapter. Would this work? Can the PS3 output from both the RCA and HDMI ports at the same time?
