New ps3 = what games???

have just got a new ps3 and am looking at buying a game tomorrow,

any suggestions, am going to get fifa when it comes out on saturday, anyone else reccomend some really good games?

i love driving and sports games but am partial to others too

The only decent exclusives on the PS3 are Motorstorm and Resistence: Fall of Man at the moment, you might wanna check out Ridge Racer 7 too, it's a fun racing game that's not too serious.

Now cross platforms, you've got more of a selection, NFSC, COD3, RAINBOW 6 VEGAS, G.R.A.W. and The Darkness.

... more games will roll in soon, deffo get GT5, it's a must for PS3 users and Final Fantasy, I've never played it really but I'd give it a go. Also get Saints Row 2, GTA IV, COD4, MGS4.

I'm not a fan of Rally or F1 games, I perfer simulators (F2MS, GT) or street racers. If you like Rally and F1 there are a few games you might like but there are good street racers too apart from Juiced 2: HIN - I thought it sucked.

You may wanna try THP8 and/or .skate if you like skating games.

Well you could try Motorstorm, RFOM, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk for exclusives titles. Sport well, Dirt the PS3 is the best version, F1ce can be had at quite a cheap price if you look around. Super Stardust, Tekken 5, and GT HD are available on the PSN Store think Stardust and Tekken are about £8 each, GT HD is free.
 
Id also suggest downloading the demos before buying any games, at £30 -> £50 which i think is a bit too much to pay for a game you may not like.
 
Resistance, Sigma and Warhawk are worth buying.

Try Motorstorm before you buy it as I really didn't get on with it. Seemed like a glorified tech demo.

Rent Heavenly Sword, as although it's a good game, £30-£40 is a bit steep for the number of hours you get out of it.
 
I bought the PS3 on launch with Motorstorm, Resistance and Oblivion.....they're still the only games I've got. Nothing decent has come out since imo, the only other decent games being ports/remakes.

Do you have an Xbox360? if you do then just go for the exclusives as mentioned above, if you don't then these are all marvelous...
