I am the happy owner of a new PSP Slim & Lite :)
I hunted around online and think I found the best deal on the high st of all places.
PSP, MOH Heroes 2, 2GB memory card and a protection pack (soft case, screen protector, earphones and 2 x UMD cases) all for £149.99.
Most of the deals I found had games that didn't appeal to me except for this one.

Anyway, one quick question, can anyone recommend some software to convert xvid moviles / tv stuff so I can play them on the PSP?

Slight hijack but whats the battery life like on the slim?

I know what its quoted to be but in terms of real use?

I'll answer that once I have given the battery a hammering.

Oh, and another quick question - is it possible to stream audio / video to the PSP?
I've looked at all the settings but I can't see a way for the PSP to scan for a media server.

not from a media server. There was a script that published your iTunes library as an RSS feed that worked not too bad.

Do you have a PS3? If so that is your easiest way.

Just out of curiosity what sort of size does it convert a 350meg tv episode down to?T.

There are custom settings available.
When I tried the first episode of the unit I set the setting to max and this made the file size around 550mb (orginal xvid is around 350mb).
The 2nd episode I recoded to around 350mb.

pimpstreamer will allow streaming from a pc to the psp but its homebrew so cant really talk about it so google for the win :)

edit: btw i stopped using pspvideo9 as it wouldn't get subtitles showing up on matroska? coded files and i found psp video converter to be a better program overall :)

heres a link to a later version my one is 2.4 while the link is 2.6 http://www.download3k.com/MP3-Audio...odecs/Download-PSPVC-PSP-Video-Converter.html
