Hi people,

This is my setup:
I7 4470k, Z97, HD7870, SSD.

From my research I concluded that probably these are the best options: Seasonic focus gold 650W or Corsair RM 650x.

Read here in the forum a couple of complains about the focus unit. Still too green as this is a new unit on the market.

Any thoughts? I am going for 650W although I might not need because this way I will be operating in the region where the efficiency is around 90% plus I get that extra margin for future upgrades.

Best.

I've just purchased a seasonic focus 850w platinum, & have to say I've impressed with the quality of it.

Cables are very good quality, with the sata & molex cables being flat which means cable tidying is much easier.
Very quiet, compared to my previous be quiet 1000w Z1 which wasn't exactly noisy!

you cant really go wrong with seasonic stuff.corsair been slipping for a while.know quite a few who have had golds blow early from having them even on small systems. i mainly go for seasonic , antec and supper flower

The RMx Series are well built and efficient PSU's for the price, and comes with a 10-year warranty to back it up. They come equipped with a Zero-RPM fan that only turns on under high load and heat, so noise levels during operation are very low. It's been consistently my recommendation for family and friends when building systems, and never had any issues.
