Currently have a Seasonic 550w - Can't remember exact model as I bought it about 7 years ago.

Looking to go modular in order to make some space and also to accommodate a possible new 7950.

Because the Seasonic has been fantastic and very quiet, I was looking at this:

Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply

Are there any better options for around that price mark (£80)?

I just got me an EVGA Supernova G2, albeit the 1000w model.
Assuming the features are pretty much the same, I think you'll be very happy with that.

First thing I noticed was how cleanly everything plugged in. Usually the connectors are tight somewhere, but every cable just clicked smoothly into place, at both ends. Sign of quality, IMO.
It's also very quiet - Much more than my previous OCZ one.

Plenty other good features mentioned in reviews and the like, but teh best is probably the 10-year warranty!

After my last Seasonic I wouldn't buy another, so noisy! Less than a year old and it died at the weekend so I've replaced it with a nice Superflower. I'd certainly look at the EVGA ones mentioned.

SuperFlower has LED lighting on the connectors yes, and 5 year warranty. EVGA has no LED lighting, 10 year warranty if registered in 30 days

I thought I heard a faintly Scottish voice at the back of my head telling me to put the EVGA on offer this week :)

Just because I live in Scotland doesn't mean I am Scottish. The wife is but I am Cornish!! :p:p:p

No Haribo!! Someone's slacking in the warehouse. My last order from OCUK was one of the Creative Soundblaster Z's they had on special offer. OEM I think it was. I had two packets of Haribo in the jiffy bag and another two inside the bubblewrap the card was in. :D:D:D

Hairbo right now might make me feel better. I'm encountering an odd problem. Got everything hooked up. Switch on machine and everything seems fine. But about 2 seconds after Windows starts to load and I see the logo it just switches off. If I try again I get exactly the same result. :(

Might post this is general hardware, to see what response I get.
