I have recent upgraded my mobo and gfx card, from which i had to buy a 20 pin to 24 pin adp for my psu, thing is it fits in the mobo ok but when trying to connect the trueblue 20 pin into the adp it just doesnt fit at all, i know i have the correct adp tho so god only knows why it wont fit.

As a quick fix i tried to connect them the best i could and use insulating tape to keep em together, the standby light will light up on the mobo but when i try to boot everything will power up but the monitor wont respond, i have tried a 2nd gfx card just to make sure its not that as the mobo and gfx were the only things that i've added, everything else worked fine with an X800xt agp and neo2 plat setup.

All i can think of is that the psu isnt powerful enough or its something to do with the 20 pin to 24 pin connector that doesnt fit prop.

Can someone please recommend a decent psu for my setup, only psu's i have used in the past are antec and tagan, only one's ive trusted really. But would consider a new make if someone believe's its the best way to go.

Whats the budget ?
Do you just want enough for now or do you want to keep it for a few builds ?
Either way from personal experience, I would look at the Enermax range :)

I had exactly the same PSU as you, and exactly the same problem... i just couldn't get the PSU 20 - 24 pin adaptor to fit.

I bought a new one, a corsair HX520W a very very good reliable PSU... i highly recommend it :)

lol yeah .. I'm not awake yet ;)
This one would be my recommendation, £88.11, quiet and top notch quality:
Enermax Noisetaker 600W EG701AX-VE(W) SFMA ATX2.0 SLI Compliant PSU
