i7 920 2.67Ghz (overclocked to 3.3Ghz)
P6T SE (revision D0) motherboard
EVGA GTX 570 1.28GB
12GB DDR3
OCZ 60GB SSD
2 x SATA II 500GB HDD's
H-70 Corsair Watercooler
Current PSU is Sweex PS040 650W
I have just replaced the GTS 250 graphics card with the new EVGA nVidia GTX 570. My computer will run fine with all of the above, but when I go to play games, it's switching off after a few seconds and then starts to boot up. This is where the graphics card must be drawing more power to run the game.
It's an obvious PSU issue, so it's time to upgrade that. I would like the modular design to clean up the cable management (it's a mess inside right now).
How much power do I require for this rig? Also if I wanted to upgrade and get a 2nd GTX 570 in the future.
I'm looking at something like this...
OCZ ZX Series / 1000W / PSU Power Supply http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-053-OC
Thanks in advance.
