Hi. I built my PC back at the end of April. Everything worked fine until today when it wouldn’t turn on. Figured out that my whole pc was shorting the fuses to the whole house

I managed to narrow it down to my power supply as when I looked closer I seen flashes or what looked like something blowing within the power supply.
This is the model Corsair TX750M 750W 80 Plus Gold Semi Modular Power Supply (CP-9020131-UK)

so it’s still in warranty but I would rather go with another brand. Any help would be great

I've had 2 Corsair PSU's fail on me & on both occasions the rest of the hardware has been fine. Doesn't mean your hardware will be OK though. If you want to try another brand Seasonic, Superflower, or bequiet.

Thanks mate. Support told me they’re a bad batch and are replacing it in just worried everything else has broken because of it. If that’s the case what do I do? Will I need to purchase everything again?

There's a bad batch of Corsair TX-M psu's as well now? Same OEM as the faulty Corsair SF psu's, Great Wall. Wonder if there has been a problem at their plant or if it's a batch of components they use?

Taking out fuses of house means mains side short circuit.
That's galvanically isolated from outputs (isolation has to withstand 3 kV to pass electrical safety standards) and safer for PC components places in PSU to fail.

So it’s a house issue that’s ended up frying my PSU?

whats the current situ on psu companies offering uk rma postal addresses and turn around times ?
Last time I had to do it was pay for postage to Holland I think and that was corsair I think their first psu's where they stormed the market hx620 think mine was a 500 watt one.

It's more like your house's electric protection stopped the PSU frying more. :P

As other have said, would be very unlucky if other parts are damage because of this, as any decent PSU has built in protection to stop it barbecuing your components.
I suspect when parts are damaged when using a decent PSU, most are down to cable failure causing damage or the parts failing themselves causing the overload.

Got a new PC from OC in June with a Corsair TX550M installed. Went to the use the PC on Friday only to find the fuse had been tripped for the sockets. Flicked the fuse switch, tried to turn on the PC and it's not working. Rang OC and they arranged DPD collection just like OP. Reading this thread gives me hope that my system will be fine and it is indeed a bad batch of PSU's. IF this happens again I will be moving to an EVGA or a BeQuiet.
